Ken Spitler Memorial
Scholarship Award

This annual scholarship is awarded as a tribute to Ken Spitler, former president and co-founder of Safety Striping Service. Prior to his passing in August 2007, Ken was a long time vendor representative with the MSA Greater Ventura Area chapter. He loved attending the monthly chapter meetings and socializing with the regular members. Even after his retirement as president of Safety Striping in 1993, Ken remained active as a striping consultant and continually supported the MSA chapter’s education fund at monthly meetings and at the annual Golf Tournaments. In 2003 Ken was presented the MSA Vendor Lifetime Award by our Chapter.
In memory of Ken Spitler’s character, devotion to the MSA, and as a continuing gesture of appreciation for his past service, the Greater Ventura MSA Chapter will honor one outstanding student each year as the recipient of this scholarship, beginning in 2008.
